Job Title: Registered Nurse

As a key member of the Cardiac Renal program, the successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care to individuals requiring hemodialysis services.

The Dialysis Team is responsible for delivering life-sustaining therapy to patients in a holistic manner, ensuring their individual care needs are met.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to hemodialysis patients, including assessment, planning, and implementation of care.
  • Act as a clinical resource for the team, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Develop and implement patient education programs to promote health and wellness.
  • Participate in data management and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Dialysis Program to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Perform other duties as required by the Program Manager.
Requirements:
  • 3 years of recent acute care experience.
  • Current Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Current BCLS certification.
  • CNeph (C) certification preferred.
  • Evidence of continuing education in nephrology.
  • Computer literacy in current software applications.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional growth and development.
  • Demonstrated commitment to Continuous Quality Improvement and Customer Service.
Essential Skills:
  • Functions independently within scope of practice.
  • Sound problem-solving, communication, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Sound knowledge of nursing process and responsibilities of profession.
  • Ability to learn from and with other members of the patient care team.

Applicants must have a minimum educational requirement of Grade 12 or equivalent and demonstrate proven workplace excellence through commitment to strong job performance and attendance.

Please note that our operations run 24/7 to provide necessary patient care. Depending on the program, it may be an expectation to work weekdays, weekends, and all shifts - days, evenings, and nights.
