Data Classification and Information Governance Specialist

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented professional to join our Security Engineering and Operations team at WSP.

The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately classifying and labeling large datasets to support our machine learning and data analysis initiatives.

Key areas of responsibility may fall into the following:

  • Refine data discovery, classification, and labelling requirements
  • Develop internal data process / placement mapping
  • Define classification and labelling schema and lifecycle handling policies
  • Select, implement, and configure solution to scan, map, classify, and label WSP's data holdings
  • Prioritize and onboard data sources for scanning

A strong analytical background with a keen eye for detail and accuracy is essential. Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Purview) is also required.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field is preferred.

$95,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience.
