About the Role

MKB Ventures Ltd. is seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. As a Welder, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our metal products by interpreting welding process specifications, operating manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, and examining welds to ensure they meet standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret Welding Process Specifications: Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes to ensure accurate execution of welding tasks.
  • Operate Welding Equipment: Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment to produce high-quality welds.
  • Examine Welds: Examine welds to ensure they meet standards and specifications, and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Operate Metal Shaping Machines: Operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines to prepare metal for welding.
  • Fit, Braze, and Torch-Straighten Metal: Fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal to ensure accurate and high-quality welds.
  • Operate Oxygen Arc Cutting Equipment: Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air) to cut metal accurately and efficiently.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in welding.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
