Group Fitness Leader

At World Gym, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Group Fitness Leader to lead our members in a group environment through a pre-arranged format of exercises designed to enhance overall fitness, strength, and endurance. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of safe exercise technique and group exercise principles, as well as the ability to create a motivational and fun environment for all participants.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare for each class by arriving at the location 10 to 15 minutes ahead of time to interact with members, answer questions, and introduce new participants.
  • Lead members through a variety of exercise routines, ensuring that all participants are using correct form and offering variations to accommodate different fitness levels.
  • Monitor the class environment to ensure that all verbal instructions are clear and that the volume, tempo of music, and overall atmosphere are conducive to hearing, teaching, learning, and having fun.
  • Remove all music and return the microphone to its proper place after each class, and ensure that the room is in order for the next class to begin.
  • Answer any questions or concerns participants may have, and solicit feedback to improve future classes.

Requirements:
  • Knowledge of safe exercise technique and group exercise principles.
  • Knowledge of basic physiology and body mechanics.
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot audio equipment.
  • Group fitness certification.

Compensation:
$20.00 - $35.00 per hour
