We are seeking a dedicated Nursing Professional to join our team at RhynoCare in the Sechelt area, providing high-quality care to our residents.

Responsibilities

  • To deliver exceptional nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and the resident's plan of care.
  • Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure the delivery of excellent care and personal attention in the assigned home area.
  • Ensure a timely and accessible admission process for residents, including a comprehensive orientation to the home and its services.
  • Coordinate resident transfers and discharges in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Ensure the safekeeping and proper use of medications and narcotics, adhering to established protocols.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of residents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) or equivalent.
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in basic software applications.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with colleagues and respect resident autonomy and confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including the Long Term Care Act and British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives Standards of Practice.
  • Medical clearance, including TB tests, and a Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
