Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Purchaser to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the right products are available in the right quantities at the right time to support our production facilities. This is a critical role that requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure inventory availability and manage supply chain risks
  • Create and manage purchase orders to support production plans
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve inventory and delivery issues
  • Support the development and implementation of continuous improvement projects to drive cost savings and efficiency
  • Maintain accurate inventory data and support the implementation of new systems
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of experience in planning, buying, and inventory management, preferably in the grocery or foodservice industry
  • Certificate or diploma in supply chain or a related field is an asset
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
