TIIKA CONSTRUCTION INC. is seeking a skilled Plasterer Specialist to join our team. As a Plasterer Specialist, you will be responsible for applying, levelling and smoothing coats of plaster to create a smooth and even surface. Your tasks will include cleaning and preparing surfaces, curing freshly plastered surfaces, filling joints and holes with joint compound, mixing plaster ingredients to the desired consistency, and spraying acoustic or texture materials over walls and ceilings.
The ideal candidate will have 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the field and will be able to work independently with minimal supervision. You will be required to work 35 hours per week and will be expected to meet tight deadlines. If you are a reliable and dependable individual who is able to work well in a team, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply, level and smooth coats of plaster
- Clean and prepare surfaces
- Cure freshly plastered surfaces
- Filling joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife
- Mix plaster ingredients to desired consistency
- Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
- Spray acoustic or texture materials over walls and ceilings
- Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound
