About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Service Manager to join our team at Metro. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our store and ensuring a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate department activities to achieve sales and profitability targets set by management, while adhering to collective agreements.
  • Ensure the store is prepared to receive customers in terms of product quantity, labeling, perishable product rotation, and missing product orders.
  • Organize work for the team based on operational needs.
  • Ensure the team provides the best possible customer experience.
  • Manage purchases, inventory, price lists, and marketing.
  • Apply policies and procedures, respect government health standards, and occupational health and safety standards, and ensure they are applied and respected uniformly by all employees in the department.
  • Provide a pre-sales service meeting customer needs.
  • Train, supervise, evaluate, and motivate team members.
  • Prevent losses (wastage, theft, inventory losses, damage).
  • Respect department budgets.

Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a retail environment.
  • 3 years of experience in the food industry.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in management (an asset).
  • Customer-focused.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Team-oriented.
