Medical Imaging Technologist, Interventional Radiology Specialist

Job Summary
The University Health Network is seeking a highly skilled Medical Imaging Technologist to join our Interventional Radiology team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing various imaging procedures using advanced digital equipment, ensuring high-quality images and excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform Interventional Radiology procedures in a fast-paced, high-volume setting, adhering to institutional policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with team members, management, and patients, demonstrating strong inter-professional and collaborative approach to practice.
- Participate in professional development, teaching, and educational activities, as well as mentoring and quality assurance initiatives.
- Work accurately, safely, and efficiently, adapting to unexpected situations and prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Collaborate with the Interventional Radiology Operations Lead to ensure seamless department operations.
Requirements
- Certification by the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
- Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) and completion of annual required continuing education.
- 2-3 years of General Radiography experience, with a strong background in imaging procedures.
- Ability to work variable shifts, including evenings, weekends, and on-call assignments.
- Strong technical skills, image quality, and effective time management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including formal clinical documentation.
