Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Pastry Chef and Kitchen Supervisor to join our team at BRAR'S EATS & SWEETS. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations, managing staff, and ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards. You will also be expected to maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory, as well as create new recipes and instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory
  • Create new recipes and menus to ensure variety and quality
  • Instruct and supervise cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets
  • Supervise kitchen staff and ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience as a pastry chef or kitchen supervisor
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
Working Conditions

This is a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and physically demanding work. The successful candidate must be able to work effectively in a team and have excellent time management skills.
