About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Support Worker to join our team at Paramjit Kaur Hans. As an Autism Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting children with autism and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals to support the children's dietary needs.
  • Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties.
  • Tend to the emotional well-being of children and provide emotional support when needed.
  • Take children to and from school and to appointments, ensuring their safe transportation.
  • Supervise and care for children, providing a nurturing and supportive environment.
  • Organize activities such as games and outings for children, promoting their social and emotional development.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities and health information regarding children.
  • Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, promoting their independence.
  • Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children, ensuring their physical needs are met.
  • Assume full responsibility for household duties in the absence of parents, demonstrating reliability and trustworthiness.
  • Provide academic support to children, helping them with homework and promoting their educational development.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with autism or special needs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Reliable transportation and a clean driving record.
