Salary

The estimated salary for this position ranges from $114,800/year up to $191,800/year. Your total compensation package may include equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation in addition to medical, financial, and/or other benefits.

Job Description

In this role, you will design, own deliverables end-to-end, and influence technical decisions in your engineering team. You'll collaborate in the design, implementation, and deployment of successful internet-scale systems and services in support of our commerce operations and the businesses they support.

You will be empowered to think big, invent on behalf of our customers, make judgment calls, and find elegant solutions to hard problems. You'll work with extraordinary teams delivering demanding projects and help define secure, scalable, distributed, and event-driven systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Deal well with ambiguous/undefined problems; ability to think abstractly
  • Working knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • 7+ years of software development experience (for senior engineers)
  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science (for senior engineers)
