Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Resource Nurse to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a Clinical Resource Nurse, you will be responsible for providing clinical expertise to clinical team members, assuming a leadership role in coordinating patient care, and promoting an interdisciplinary patient-centered approach to care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical expertise to clinical team members
  • Assume a leadership role in coordinating patient care
  • Promote an interdisciplinary patient-centered approach to care
  • Ensure quality eye intake processes
  • Act as the nursing lead for Code Blue Response Team
  • Provide clinical leadership and problem-solving for all MHC Clinical Programs
Requirements
  • Three (3) years of recent experience in Acute or Long-Term Care
  • Previous experience in ophthalmology an asset
  • Charge nurse experience preferred
  • Leadership experience preferred
  • Current CRNM registration required
  • Current CPR training at the ACLS level is required
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Bachelor of Nursing preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba Standards of Practice for Registered Nurse
  • Knowledge of Canadian Nurses Association Code of Ethics for Registered Nurses
  • Knowledge of Scope of practice as documented in the Registered Nurses Act
  • Knowledge of Regional/Facility/Unit policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines
  • Ability to work within the Centre's core values, philosophy, vision, C.Q.I. goals, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to prioritize care for an individual patient or a group of patients
  • Ability to delegate care appropriately and monitor outcomes of delegated care
