Flight Instructor Supervisor

About the Role
Mt. Royal University Aviation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced flight instructor to join our team as an Assistant Chief Flight Instructor (ACFI). As a key member of our instructional team, the ACFI will work closely with the Chief Flight Instructor (CFI) and other ACFIs to ensure the safe and effective operation of our flight program.
The ACFI will be responsible for supervising other instructors, assigning tasks, and providing positive continual improvements to the aviation program. This role also includes sharing on-call responsibilities with other ACFIs and providing support to instructors over the phone after hours.
The successful candidate will receive a stipend of $10,000 per year in addition to their annual salary. This is a 2-year limited-term position, with the potential for renewal and/or change to ongoing appointment thereafter.
Qualifications
- Current Canadian Flight Instructor Rating and Medical
- Group 1 Instrument Rating
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Ability to make decisions and adapt to a changing environment
- Strong computer skills, familiar with Word and Google Docs

Salary and Benefits:
- $55,000 - $82,500 plus $10,000 annual stipend for holding ACFI position
