Job Title: Tile Installer

Filpro General Construction is seeking a skilled Tile Installer to join our team. As a Tile Installer, you will be responsible for installing tile and other surface coverings in residential and commercial settings.

Work Setting

You will work in a variety of settings, including on-site customer service, commercial, and residential locations.

Tasks

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing, measuring, and marking surfaces to be covered
  • Mixing, applying, and spreading mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using a hand trowel
  • Setting tiles in place and applying pressure to affix them to the base
  • Aligning and straightening tiles
  • Cutting and fitting tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools
  • Packing grout into joints between tiles and removing excess grout
  • Removing and replacing cracked or damaged tiles
  • Laying and setting mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural, and floor designs
  • Building underbeds and installing anchor bolts, wires, and brackets
  • Cutting, surfacing, polishing, and installing marble and granite
  • Mixing, laying, and polishing terra surfaces
  • Installing tile strips
Security and Safety

As a Tile Installer, you will be required to work in a physically demanding environment and will need to be able to lift, bend, and kneel regularly. You will also need to have good hand-eye coordination and be able to distinguish between different colors.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

Our ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and be able to work accurately in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to be a team player and have good communication skills.
