Job Title: Head Chef

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head Chef to join our team at Wheaton's restaurant. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for planning and executing menus, leading kitchen staff, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

About the Role:
  • This is a permanent position with a salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
  • You will work 40 hours per week, with opportunities for overtime during peak periods.
  • The successful candidate must have excellent leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute menus, taking into account seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
  • Lead a team of kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience as a Head Chef or Senior Kitchen Manager.
  • Safe Food Handling certification.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
