Job Title: Drainage Systems Designer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented Designer to join our team in the role of Drainage Systems Designer. In this position, you will be responsible for supporting the grading, design, and 3D modeling of transit/highway corridors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize CAD workstations to prepare engineering drawings from rough sketches and/or general engineering and design information.
  • Develop 3D dimensional models required for drawing preparation, clash reporting, and presentation.
  • Apply standard design principles and site conditions to complete grading modeling assignments in Civil3D.
  • Ensure coordination of all model interfaces with designers and engineers of other disciplines.
  • Prepare engineering drawings from models that comprise detailed arrangements, plans, sections, and elevations.
  • Develop and extract 2D geometry from models for drawing production and internal reviews and coordination meetings.
  • Prepare models and reports for constructability analysis.
  • Coordinate work with the lead technical engineer, including timely completion of deliverables.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering from an accredited technical institution.
  • Minimum 3+ years of 3D modeling experience; proficient in CAD design 2D/3D (AutoCAD).
  • Understanding of the principles of drainage and grading works.
  • Proficient in a range of BIM Authoring, Scripting, Design Review, Coordination, Simulations, and Collaboration Platforms like ACC, Civil3D, AutoCAD, ProjectWise, and Bluebeam Studio.
