Vice-President, Finance

Reitmans (Canada) Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice-President, Finance to lead our finance team and drive financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and supervise the finance team, including hiring, training, and evaluating staff performance.
- Implement a new financial system and evolve accounting and financial reporting processes.
- Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and dashboards to the board of directors and senior management.
- Oversee daily cash flow and working capital management, ensuring sufficient liquidity and solvency of the business.
- Manage daily treasury, including banking relationships, foreign exchange, and hedging.
- Manage tax compliance and planning, ensuring adherence to tax laws and regulations, and minimizing tax liabilities and risks.
- Manage the external audit process, ensuring the quality and integrity of financial statements and disclosures.
- Oversee risk management, including loss prevention, internal controls, and insurance.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field, and a CPA designation.
- At least 10 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or a related field, with at least 5 years of leadership or management experience.
- Demonstrated capability to partner effectively with C-level executives to drive financial and strategic performance.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and standards, financial reporting and analysis, tax compliance and planning, treasury and cash management, and risk management.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information and concepts to various audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and trends, and provide insights and recommendations.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a high-performing finance team.
- High ethical standards and integrity, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
- Proficient in using various accounting and financial software, tools, and systems.
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
