We are seeking a skilled Medical Care Specialist to work in RhynoCare's long term and acute care facilities in the Rainy River area.

This role is perfect for individuals who want to make a difference in people's lives by providing high-quality medical care. As a Medical Care Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering excellent nursing and personal care to our residents.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to residents in accordance with established policies, physician orders, and resident plans of care.
  • Ensure timely and accessible admissions for residents, including a thorough orientation to the home and its services.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe transfers and discharges for residents.
  • Implement and maintain protocols for controlled substances, ensuring their secure storage and administration.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet residents' physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) or equivalent degree.
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with others in a supportive and compassionate manner.
  • Knowledge of relevant Federal, Provincial, and Municipal statues influencing long-term care operations.
  • Medical clearance, including TB tests, and a Vulnerable Sector Police Check.

We offer an estimated salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, and a range of benefits that promote work-life balance and professional growth.
