We are currently seeking a motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Whitehorse Home Hardware Building Centre. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing transactions, and maintaining a well-stocked store environment.

Job Summary

This is a permanent, full-time position with a competitive salary of $45,000 per year, based on 40 hours of work per week. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and possess a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities
  • Cash Handling: Operate cash register, process money, cheques and credit/debit card payments, and tabulate total payment for goods or services required.
  • Customer Service: Greet customers, provide assistance with product inquiries, and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Store Maintenance: Stock shelves, clean counter area, and maintain a tidy store environment.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in retail sales or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
  • A strong attention to detail and accuracy.
