About the Role

Vista Projects is seeking a highly skilled Project Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for managing the overall engineering deliverables for assigned projects, including budgeting and scheduling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Execution: Prepare project plans, including project execution plans (PEP) and design basis memorandums (DBM), to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Financial Management: Manage project budgets and ensure that all financial aspects of the project are properly controlled.
  • Manpower Scheduling: Manage manpower schedules for engineering deliverables to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality of drawings, models, and other design reviews to meet client expectations.
  • Construction Management: Oversee construction work packages (CWPs), including bills of materials, isometrics, scope, layout, instrumentation lists, and specialty items lists.
  • Scope Development: Produce scopes of work for civil, piping, skids, and pipe rack modules, among others.
  • Change Management: Coordinate CWPs, trends, scope changes, design change notices (DCN), and field change notices (FCN) to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Action Item Management: Manage all action items to ensure they are completed on schedule.
  • Project Monitoring and Control: Contribute to and monitor project KPIs, earned value, and controls reporting to ensure project success.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Eight (8) years of progressive experience within engineering and design.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of engineering terms, design requirements, processes, and document types. Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team, including process, mechanical, civil-structural, electrical, instrumentation, and CAD support.
  • Project Controls: Understanding of project controls, reporting, and KPIs.
  • Strategic Management: Strategic managerial skills and experience.
  • Safety Requirements: Ability to meet safety requirements to attend site visits.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP Certification: PMP certification.
  • Project Management Experience: Experience managing several mid to major/large-capital heavy oil (SAGD/CSS) projects throughout the full lifecycle.
  • Professional Registration: P.Eng. registration with APEGA.
  • Engineering or Applied Science Degree: Engineering or applied science degree.
