At East Kootenay Regional Hospital, we're seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Specialist to join our dynamic hospitalist team. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient care and contribute to the well-being of our community.
About Our Team:
- We provide 24/7 emergency and trauma services in a state-of-the-art facility featuring a 16-bed unit and a 6-bed ICU.
- Our hospital boasts a level 3 lab equipped with cutting-edge technology, including PCR and MALDI/TOF machines, as well as a new MRI, SPECT CT, and upcoming CT scanners in the radiology department.
Your Role:
As a key member of our hospitalist team, you'll diagnose, treat, and coordinate comprehensive wellness plans across various medical disciplines. Your expertise will ensure each patient receives personalized, effective treatment, transforming lives through integrated and empathetic care plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat patients at every stage of life, utilizing your extensive knowledge and skills to provide high-quality care.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive wellness plans, addressing diverse patient needs.
- Participate in initiatives aimed at Physician Quality Improvement (PQI), driving meaningful advancements in healthcare and contributing to a culture of excellence.
- Foster strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues, promoting a supportive and inclusive environment.
Benefits:
- An annual salary of $314,795, plus MOCAP level 2 benefits.
- A relocation package of up to $39,000, covering moving expenses within Canada or outside.
- A signing bonus of up to $20,000, prorated for physicians working less than full time.
