Master Pastry Artisan

We are seeking a skilled Baker to join our team at Mr. Puffs.
- As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, as well as batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes according to recipes or special customer orders.
- You will also requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies, and bake mixed dough and batters.
- In addition, you will train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, prepare special orders, supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff, frost and decorate cakes and baked goods, draw up production schedules, train staff, ensure that the quality of products meets established standards, schedule staff, inspect kitchen and food service areas, operate machinery, organize and maintain inventory, oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods, and prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: Will train.
This is a permanent position with 30-40 hours per week. The work setting is in a fast-paced environment in a bakery, requiring ability to distinguish between colours, attention to detail, hand-eye co-ordination, physically demanding tasks, repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, tight deadlines, and working under pressure.
SupervisionYou will be supervising 3-4 people.

Salary InformationThe estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $65,000 per year, based on industry standards and location. This includes benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.
