Job Title: Early Childhood Educator Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team at Learning Tree Academy. As an Early Childhood Educator Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the development and well-being of young children in our care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess children's development and create personalized learning plans to meet their unique needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a clean and safe environment, and assist with meal preparation and setup.
  • Provide exceptional care to infants and toddlers, including bathing, diapering, and feeding.
  • Develop and implement engaging child-care programs that promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social growth.
  • Support early childhood educators in carrying out programs and keeping records.
  • Engage children in activities, such as storytelling, singing, and crafting.
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms for lunch and rest periods.
  • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors.
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss children's progress and challenges.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work setting.
Work Environment:

Our daycare centre or nursery school provides a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow. We are committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive space for all children, staff, and families.

Language:

English is the primary language of communication in our centre.

Hours of Work:

32 to 35 hours per week.
