Job Summary

The Government of Alberta is seeking a skilled Reporting Coordinator to support the Capital Project Delivery Division and Strategic Partnership and Learning Facilities Division. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for accurate reporting of project information, tracking and management of operational improvement projects, and providing training and support to divisional staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain accurate and timely project reports, including progress and cash flow information.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to address issues and manage reporting workflows.
  • Provide training and support to divisional staff on communications processes and procedures.
  • Research and provide advice to senior management on strategies and measures.
  • Plan and facilitate branch meetings, supporting the division's continuous improvement framework.
  • Coordinate updates of information systems and implement improvement initiatives.
  • Develop responses to non-project specific action requests and briefings as required.
  • Provide input into the Ministry's Capital Plan, Annual Reports, Public Accounts, Committee of Supply, Session, and Budget documents.
  • Collaborate with the department's business planning group to provide input and solicit feedback on goal congruency.
  • Consult with branch Directors and Executive Director on best practices to achieve goals and strategies.
  • Coordinate and facilitate sessions with project managers, coordinators, and administrative staff to collect improvement ideas and solicit feedback.
  • Track staff utilization and propose resourcing strategies/opportunities with Project Directors.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to maintain accurate and timely reports, are essential. Experience in project management and coordination, as well as knowledge of business planning and operations, is an asset.
