Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeping Specialist to join our team at BORNTOW LOGISTICS. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing cheques for payroll, and performing various accounting tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledgers and financial statements.
- Payroll Processing: Prepare cheques for payroll and ensure timely payment to employees.
- Accounting Tasks: Perform various accounting tasks, including calculating fixed assets and depreciation, posting journal entries, and preparing tax returns.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
Requirements:
- Education: College/CEGEP degree in accounting or a related field.
- Experience: Experience in bookkeeping or accounting is an asset.
Work Environment: This is a permanent position with 40 hours of work per week. The work language is English.
