We are seeking a skilled carpenter to join our team at Blue Arc Homes. As a carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining residential and commercial structures.
Key Responsibilities:- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
- Fabricate and install cabinets, doors, windows, and other woodwork.
- Estimate costs and materials for projects.
- Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in carpentry.
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy environments.
- Willingness to travel regularly.
- Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in physically demanding conditions.
- Steel-toed safety boots, hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, and safety vest.
- Judgement, team player, punctuality, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Our team works in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. We require our carpenters to be physically fit and able to work in a variety of settings, including construction sites and residential areas.
What We Offer:- 35 hours per week.
- Permanent work term.
- English language required.
