Job Overview

Resolute Forest Products Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Planning Specialist to join our team at the Thunder Bay Sawmill in Ontario, Canada.

About the Role

  • Assist in the maintenance performance of a state-of-the-art sawmill, ensuring highest Safety standards for all maintenance operations.
  • Collaborate with Production and Maintenance personnel to plan, schedule, and supervise maintenance and capital work.
  • Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for processing work orders, purchase requisitions, weekly schedules, PMs, and updating the equipment database.
  • Supervise repairs/projects carried out by sub-contractors and ensure quality of work and adherence to deadlines.
  • Plan and control expenditures in accordance with the operating budget of the department.

About You

  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Technologist, Trades certification, or related industry experience.
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated progression in leadership roles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, communicate with all levels of the organization, and adapt quickly to change.
