About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Nurse to join our team in Ambulatory Care. This is a unique opportunity to utilize your clinical expertise and leadership skills to provide high-quality care to patients.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective patient care plans. They will also mentor and educate nursing staff to enhance their knowledge and skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
- Mentor and educate nursing staff on best practices and new procedures
- Provide clinical guidance and support to nursing staff
- Assist in the development of policies and procedures related to patient care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor's degree in nursing and current practicing registration as an RN with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives
- Three years recent clinical experience in a related program or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Demonstrated ability to provide supervision, leadership and work direction
- Demonstrated ability to teach, mentor and coach staff
- Demonstrated expertise in the provision of clinical care to oncology patients in the designated area
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
