At Arup, we're seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering Leader to join our Toronto office. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for leading large, complex projects and developing our dedicated team of mechanical engineers. Your expertise in sustainable design and ability to coordinate with other disciplines will be invaluable in delivering exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and manage large, complex projects while coordinating with other disciplines and external partners.
  • Lead and develop a team of mechanical engineers across Canada, focusing on sustainable design.
  • Attend meetings and communicate with clients to establish their needs and discuss design issues.
  • Predict and plan current and future resources, including strategic membership growth, while developing and mentoring the team.
  • Represent Arup in the industry at high levels nationally and internationally.
  • Create an environment of inclusivity that inspires the growth and career development of junior and senior team members.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in the built environment with major project leadership experience.
  • Extensive experience with HVAC and plumbing systems in buildings, sustainable, low carbon, and innovative strategies on projects.
  • Professional Engineer in Canada (P.Eng).
  • Experience in multidisciplinary project leadership.
