Electrical Apprentice Level 4 and 5 at Spark Power

Spark Power is looking for an Electrical Apprentice level 4 and 5 to contribute to our Mississauga team. As an Electrical Apprentice, you will assist Journeymen and other employees with tasks and help with operations. Your skills will increase over time, and you will take on more ownership of jobs and how they are run, based on your abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine the best methods for visualizing, measuring, and estimating work based on the job situation
  • Decide when additional materials are needed to complete required work
  • Define and label wires, conduits, and apparatus to avoid shock/electrocution
  • Determine the best routing options for conduit, wires, and other systems
  • Support newer/fellow Apprentices with orientation and learning
  • Attend required meetings, safety meetings, and professional development sessions
  • Keep phone and barcode scanner charged and ready and truck stocked with proper tools and materials
  • Load materials, lifts, trailers, and other equipment
  • Ensure work order accuracy
  • Perform field work/installations
  • Perform vehicle maintenance

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • Registered Electrical apprentice – Minimum level 3
  • Experience in industrial, commercial, and/or institutional electrical work
  • Excellent attitude with a proactive, hardworking, and team-oriented personality
  • Valid Drivers License with clear abstract
  • Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Reliable and committed to quality work and contributing to the team
  • Electrical knowledge is an asset
  • Positive and hardworking attitude with a desire to grow in your Electrical career
  • Good numeracy skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet specified deadlines
  • Adhere to all Health and Safety standards and practices
