Executive Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Casino Niagara. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the preparation and presentation of our Asian-inspired dishes.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in an Asian kitchen, with a strong background in food safety and sanitation procedures. You will be responsible for ordering inventory, monitoring freshness and quality, and implementing the development and delivery of standards of operations.

Key Responsibilities- Lead the preparation and presentation of Asian-inspired dishes
- Order inventory and monitor freshness and quality
- Implement the development and delivery of standards of operations
- Administer training, coaching, and counseling to team members
- Ensure duties are performed to company specifications, methods of preparation, portioning, and adherence to health codes
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an Asian kitchen
- Strong mathematical skills
- Fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin (written and verbal); English (conversational)
- Basic computer skills
- Food Safe Handling certificate
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good physical stamina (lifting, standing) and manual dexterity
