Job Title: Early Childhood Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as an Early Childhood Assistant at CEFA Early Learning Victoria - Westshore.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will assist early childhood educators in creating a nurturing and engaging environment for children to learn and grow. This role requires a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and education to young children.

Responsibilities
  • Assist early childhood educators in developing and implementing learning plans tailored to the needs of each child.
  • Support the daily activities of the childcare centre, including preparing snacks, arranging rooms, and engaging children in activities.
  • Assist with record-keeping and submitting written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in early childhood education.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience in a childcare setting is an asset.
  • Criminal record check and immunization records are required.
  • Dependability, flexibility, and reliability are essential qualities for this role.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent position with a 30-37.5 hour workweek. The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, including on-call work.
