We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Kitchen Specialist to join our team at A1 Indian Restaurant Ltd dba Tandoori Flare. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the culinary team in planning and executing menus that exceed our customers' expectations.
Job SummaryThe Lead Kitchen Specialist will oversee kitchen operations, ensuring seamless food preparation and presentation while maintaining high-quality standards. This position involves supervising staff, ordering supplies, managing inventory, and implementing effective kitchen practices.
Key Responsibilities:- Determine food portion sizes and costs to optimize menu profitability.
- Develop and implement new menu items, taking into account customer preferences and seasonal ingredients.
- Plan and execute kitchen operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff supervision.
- Train and mentor junior staff members on food preparation, cooking techniques, and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment usage.
- At least 1 year of experience in a lead or supervisory role in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and time-management skills, with a focus on meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
- Familiarity with kitchen safety protocols and regulations.
- A competitive salary range of $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience.
