About Our Manufacturing Client - We are working with a leading manufacturer to find a Production Supervisor who will report directly to the Production Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring workplace safety, maintaining quality standards, and aligning production outputs with company targets.

The Role of the Production Supervisor - Key Responsibilities

  • Team Supervision: Lead a team of Production Technicians in a 24/7 chemical production process, adhering to safety and operational policies.
  • Quality & Compliance: Maintain HACCP standards for food safety, achieve production targets, and ensure defect-free output.
  • Process Optimization: Utilize the DCS control system to monitor and adjust purification processes, resolving issues and optimizing performance.
  • Continuous Improvement: Conduct workplace inspections, maintain audit readiness, and implement Kaizen initiatives to enhance operations.
  • Training & Sustainability: Train new employees on purification operations and oversee steam and electrical consumption to meet sustainability and efficiency goals.

Requirements for Success - Must-Have Qualifications and Skills

  • At least 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in chemical processing.

Key Qualifications -

  • Technical Expertise: Proven experience in electrical, mechanical, stationary, or chemical fields through education, coursework, or practical work; a BASc in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry is preferred.
  • Manufacturing Experience: Minimum 5 years in manufacturing, ideally within food production or continuous flow refining.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead, support, and motivate teams, with strong collaboration and team-building skills.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using DCS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactive, resourceful, and focused, applying first-principle methods to resolve issues.
