SalaryThe estimated annual salary for this position ranges from $35,440 to $43,716, based on an hourly wage of $17.15 to $21.17 per hour.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Loss Prevention Officer to join our team. As a key member of our security and investigations department, you will play a crucial role in preventing shoplifting and other forms of theft.
Responsibilities- You will work closely with store employees to identify and address areas of loss, developing and implementing effective shrink reduction plans.
- Your duties will include conducting surveillance, investigating incidents, and maintaining loss prevention systems at various store locations.
- You will also be responsible for detecting and apprehending individuals committing criminal offenses against the company, securing evidence, and preparing reports for court testimony.
- In addition, you may be assigned special tasks such as lock repair, key control, staff awareness and orientation, and maintaining the overall security of our locations.

- The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- High ethical standards and a strong sense of personal and professional integrity.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills, including proficiency in English both written and verbal.
- A valid Class 5 driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Previous experience in loss prevention or a related field within the criminal justice system would be an asset.
- Additional qualifications such as security-related education, professional accreditation, first aid training, and use of force training are also beneficial.
