About the Role
As a Labour Lawyer, you will be an integral member of the Labour Relations team, providing collective agreement interpretation, legal advice, and strategic direction to Nova Scotia Health (NSHA) and the IWK. This role requires analysing complex problems and providing advice on sensitive and multidimensional issues with operational and financial impacts across the health sector and broader public sector.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide assessment and advice in relation to grievances
* Act as legal counsel at labour arbitrations and other forms of dispute resolution
* Represent clients before the Labour Board and occasionally the courts
* Lead negotiator for collective bargaining and essential services negotiation

Requirements
* Bachelor of Laws (LLB/JD)
* Minimum 8 years' relevant experience in labour law

Bonus Skills
* Experience in administrative law, employment law, human rights law, or privacy law would be considered an asset
* Providing advice in relation to labour legislation and regulations
* Representing clients before labour and other administrative tribunals

What We Offer
* Permanent, full-time position, 75 hours bi-weekly
* $51.92 hourly compensation rate
