Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to lead our team of analysts in contributing to the strategic growth of our globally recognized premium brand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise Accountant, A/R, A/P, Payroll and ensure all accounting functions are completed according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Accounting Standards.
  • Oversight of the company's financial reporting strategy for internal and external reporting requirements for 3 legal entities.
  • Development of processes to ensure financial data is complete and appropriately captured and reconciled in the Company's ERP system.
  • Provision of recommendations for procedural improvements and work with the ERP team to enhance systems.
  • Creation of robust monthly, quarterly and annual statements, close financial processes and checklists.
  • Management of customer account balances and account statements including: receivables, credit memos, and deposits.
  • Responsibility for all daily financial transactions, including but not limited to: Inventory, AP, AR, Bank Reconciliations, Billing, Payroll, HST, full cycle bookkeeping to the standards of Canadian Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE).
  • Preparation of necessary audit documentation. Liaison with Auditors.
  • Addressing other CRA matters as they arise.
  • Determination of major economic strategies, objectives and policies for the company. Alignment of the major business functions to profitability, growth and cash flow.
  • Ensure compliance with record retention requirements.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Candidate must hold CPA designation in good standing.
  • Prior experience with ERP systems integration is desired.
  • Experience with Odoo ERP is an asset.
  • Previous experiences in public accounting are preferred.
  • Able to work independently and lead a team.
  • Experience in or with a manufacturing environment.
Compensation and Benefits

Estimated salary range: $80,000 - $110,000 per year. Benefits include casual dress, company events, dental care, disability insurance, extended health care, on-site parking, and vision care.
