We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Litigation Assistant to join our team at Kent Legal in Toronto. As a senior law clerk, you will play a vital role in supporting the firm's commercial litigation and bankruptcy practice.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and complete complex litigation documentation, including motion records, affidavits, and other legal documents
  • Transcribe dictation accurately and efficiently, maintaining high attention to detail
  • Liaise professionally with external clients, internal team members, and stakeholders, building strong relationships and ensuring seamless communication
  • Maintain filing systems, both physical and electronic, ensuring efficient and secure storage of documents
  • Perform various administrative duties, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and data entry tasks

Requirements

  • Diploma in Law Clerk or Legal Assistant from a recognized institution
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in Commercial Litigation/Bankruptcy, with a strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience using Caselines, bookmarking/hyperlinking, Soluno for accounting, MyCase for practice management, and NetDocuments for document management is an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
  • High attention to detail, with a keen eye for accuracy and precision
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a team player attitude and a willingness to collaborate with others

What We Offer
