Job Title: Business Development Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Supervisor to join our team at Factory Direct Furniture. As a Sales Supervisor, you will play a key role in driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and contributing to the overall success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assign sales workers to duties to ensure efficient operation of the sales floor and effective management of customer interactions;
  • Hire, train, or arrange for training of staff to develop a high-performing sales team capable of delivering exceptional customer experiences;
  • Order merchandise to maintain an attractive and well-stocked sales environment that meets customer needs and drives sales;
  • Autorize return of merchandise to address customer concerns and maintain a positive brand reputation;
  • Sell merchandise by effectively communicating product features, benefits, and value to customers and addressing their inquiries and needs;
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions and drive strategic initiatives;
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages, in a timely and professional manner;
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure accurate stock levels, reduce waste, and minimize stockouts;
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers to achieve sales goals, improve productivity, and enhance teamwork;
  • Supervise office and volunteer staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and maintain a positive work environment;

About You:

To succeed in this role, you will require excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders. You must be a self-motivated and organized individual with a strong work ethic, able to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines. A secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required, and prior experience in retail sales or a related field would be an asset.
