Job Summary
Western Coast Insurance Services is seeking a highly skilled System Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our Microsoft 365 and Teams telephony solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement, manage, and maintain telephony systems, including Microsoft Teams Voice and HPBX.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure compatibility and integration with existing systems.
- Provide training and support to staff on M365 and Teams, and other telephony features within areas of responsibility.
- Stay updated with the latest Microsoft 365 updates and telephony technologies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to MS365, Teams, and telephony.
- Assist in the creation and management of M365 suite within the organization, ensuring proper access control and document management.
- Confirm all systems have secure connections and perform smoothly to serve the needs of the organization.
- Perform day-to-day technical support for users and projects of the organization.
- Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware.
- Maintain internal infrastructure requirements, including laptop and desktop computers, servers, phones, security updates; supporting internet, intranet.
- Help test and maintain new servers (on prem or cloud) as needed.
- Participate with other support tiers and teams to assist in troubleshooting, identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed.
- Ensure parity between development, test, and production environments.
- Manage the configuration of server operating systems and maintain monitoring tools.
- Respond immediately to security or usability concerns.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in a similar or comparable role.
- Proven experience with Microsoft 365, Teams, and VoIP telephony systems.
- Strong understanding of network communications and IT infrastructure.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and training skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
