Job Summary

Western Coast Insurance Services is seeking a highly skilled System Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our Microsoft 365 and Teams telephony solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement, manage, and maintain telephony systems, including Microsoft Teams Voice and HPBX.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure compatibility and integration with existing systems.
  • Provide training and support to staff on M365 and Teams, and other telephony features within areas of responsibility.
  • Stay updated with the latest Microsoft 365 updates and telephony technologies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to MS365, Teams, and telephony.
  • Assist in the creation and management of M365 suite within the organization, ensuring proper access control and document management.
  • Confirm all systems have secure connections and perform smoothly to serve the needs of the organization.
  • Perform day-to-day technical support for users and projects of the organization.
  • Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware.
  • Maintain internal infrastructure requirements, including laptop and desktop computers, servers, phones, security updates; supporting internet, intranet.
  • Help test and maintain new servers (on prem or cloud) as needed.
  • Participate with other support tiers and teams to assist in troubleshooting, identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed.
  • Ensure parity between development, test, and production environments.
  • Manage the configuration of server operating systems and maintain monitoring tools.
  • Respond immediately to security or usability concerns.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in a similar or comparable role.
  • Proven experience with Microsoft 365, Teams, and VoIP telephony systems.
  • Strong understanding of network communications and IT infrastructure.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and training skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
