About the Role

Instacart is seeking a structured and organized Warehouse Associate to play a vital role in helping us maintain order in our warehouse. As a key member of our team, you will work with different teams to ensure that we have followed all the process checklist and right documentation for our hardware setup from the moment it arrives to the moment it leaves our warehouse.

Responsibilities

  1. Operational Oversight: Oversee the scheduling of cart shipments, ensuring smooth and timely operations. Optimize daily, weekly, and monthly workflows for maximum efficiency.
  2. Team Leadership: Lead, train, and motivate a team of warehouse associates. Develop and implement strategies to improve team performance and morale.
  3. Inventory Control: Implement and enforce inventory management protocols for order entry, goods receipt, and shipment. Drive inventory accuracy by setting and meeting goals, and maintain and improve cycle count reporting.
  4. Operations Reporting: Establish and manage a reporting system to monitor and analyze On Time Delivery, Productivity, Inventory, and other relevant warehouse metrics.
  5. Equipment Management: Develop and document procedures for the maintenance and support of warehouse equipment.
  6. Safety and Compliance: Ensure all warehouse operations adhere to safety regulations and company policies. Promote a safe working environment and conduct regular safety training and audits.

About You

As a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Associate, you will possess a post-secondary education in Logistics, Supply Chain, or equivalent experience, and a proven track record in a similar supervisory role within a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will have demonstrated ability to manage inventory control and optimize warehouse processes, and a minimum of 3 years' experience in a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team, are also essential for this role.

Requirements

  1. Post Secondary Education in Logistics, Supply Chain, or equivalent experience
  2. Proven experience as a Warehouse lead or in a similar supervisory role within a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  3. Demonstrated ability to manage inventory control and optimize warehouse processes.
  4. A minimum of 3 years' experience in a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment
  5. Ability to simultaneously manage projects and day-to-day operations with a sense of urgency and without compromising quality
  6. Clear written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
  7. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team
