Job Overview

We seek an experienced Global Process Engineering Director to lead our global process engineering efforts and training initiatives. The successful candidate will have a strong track record in supervision, mentorship, and coaching, as well as extensive experience in process engineering, testwork management, and commissioning/operational support in froth flotation and mineral processing operations.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership:
    • Fully supervise and guide global process engineering teams or regional Process Engineering Managers worldwide to ensure quality, productivity, and timely task completion.
    • Provide mentoring, leadership, and professional development to global flotation process teams.
    • Develop, implement, and standardize global process engineering workflow processes and procedures for effective response to departments, customers, and external parties.
    • Create and execute a comprehensive global training program for process engineers in collaboration with key stakeholders.
    • Review and evaluate work performed by team members.
    • Proactively contribute to business development activities, including client meetings, technical presentations at conferences, and representative training.
  • Technical and Operational Support:
    • Collaborate with the Global Flotation Capital Sales, Services, Engineering, and Product Management Groups, as well as regional Eriez offices, to support process-related aspects of mineral processing flowsheet development, equipment sales, project delivery, and business excellence.
    • Oversight of laboratory/piloting Metallurgical Testwork Programs, including developing projects for testing at Eriez USA's flotation laboratory, external commercial laboratories, and customer sites, as necessary.
    • Review testwork reports, sales proposal technical content, business cases, and technical whitepapers.
    • Examine calculations related to equipment sizing and process design in support of flowsheet development and commercial bid packages.
    • Offer Commissioning, Operation, and Optimization guidance for Eriez participation at clients' sites.
    • Solve technical and process design challenges associated with new delivery projects and perform troubleshooting using root cause analysis principles to address process issues for equipment in operation.
    • Collaborate on projects with local and global team members, external parties, and clients directly.
    • Liaise with key stakeholders on all technical aspects of projects.
    • Provide regular project updates, including work progress, risks, and priorities.
    • C Coordinate and work with instrument specialists for instrument/valves/pump selection and datasheet development.
    • Review equipment datasheets, control philosophy, or other technical documentation as needed.

About You

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required.
  • Masters or Doctorate Degree in Engineering highly desirable.
  • 25+ years of relevant experience in mineral processing or chemical engineering.
  • Subject matter expertise (SME) in froth flotation process and flow sheet development and analysis.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE/P.Eng) highly desirable.
  • Supervisory experience, including the development and mentorship of process engineers from entry-level to senior level.
  • Prior experience in a client-facing role with proven proficiency in delivering OEM and/or EPC projects on time and within budget.
  • Ability to lead internal/external meetings and present to an audience.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills combined with the ability to provide advanced technical solutions and problem-solving.
  • Detailed-oriented, organized with strong planning and coordination skills.
  • Able to respond quickly to change and adapt to new requirements.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Able to effectively multitask, prioritize activities, and deliver work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to travel internationally for site visits and business meetings.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year
