Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

ROUTE KING TRANSPORT LTD. is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, ensuring the safe transportation of goods and materials.
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all relevant regulations and safety protocols.
  • Load and unload goods, ensuring accurate and efficient handling of cargo.
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, overseeing all aspects of vehicle maintenance and condition.
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo, adhering to all relevant regulations and protocols.
  • Transport and handle dangerous goods, following all relevant safety procedures and protocols.
Requirements:
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Valid driver's license
