Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Royalty Accounting Manager to join our team at Electronic Arts. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for managing the accurate review, interpretation, and set-up of licensing and development contracts.

Responsibilities
  • Manage one direct report and provide guidance on contractual terms and conditions.
  • Interpret contractual terms and conditions, set-up and update contracts in the Alliant Royalty System, and assess capitalization feasibility.
  • Calculate development expensed advance amortization, participate in the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, and analyze effective versus contractual royalty rates.
  • Ensure 100% compliance with all financial commitments and obligations, including prepaid advances, development milestone payments, minimum guarantees, royalty statements, and disbursements.
  • Reconcile Prepaid Royalties and Royalty Payable Accounts, prepare and distribute assigned Royalty Accounting reports to business partners, and participate in monthly close meetings.
  • Prepare and maintain assigned audit schedules, participate in forecasting and annual planning process for royalties, and assess Royalty Accounting processes, procedures, and policies on a continuous basis.
  • Enhance Royalty Accounting's relationships with internal and external business partners and participate in special projects as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (CPA or MBA a plus).
  • Minimum of 6+ years of accounting experience, including people management experience and US GAAP experience.
  • Royalty accounting experience a plus, as well as system administration or superuser experience.
  • Hybrid work model with 3-day per week onsite minimum and flexibility in working hours and weekend work during close and peak periods.
