Job Title: Security Operations Manager - IT Compliance

Location: Toronto, ON

Type: 12-month contract with strong potential of a further 6-month extension

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Security Operations Manager - IT Compliance to join our team at PeopleToGo. As a key member of our IT security team, you will be responsible for performing security assessments and design work within IT-related projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing security assessments and security design work within IT-related projects
  • Reviewing project plans, deliverables, solution design, tools, and development methods for information security risks
  • Tracking security risks to closure and interfacing with project sponsors
  • Helping to drive the security program forward to increase the visibility of security to upper management
Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Attending project reviews as required, including assessment of Project Orders, RFPs, Business Cases, and Service Requirement Documents (SRDs)
  • Ensuring security requirements for the project are defined and captured
  • Providing risk management guidance and advice
  • Providing security architecture expertise to the project
  • Developing an enterprise vulnerability management program
  • Developing security statistical reports for management
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Education: BA or BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent working experience
  • CISSP and SANS security designations are preferable
  • 15 years of experience in IT, with a strong technical background
  • 10 years of experience in IT Security with a focus on security operations management
  • 2 years of experience in IT Security Management or IT Security Compliance
  • 2 years of experience with identity and access management (role design)
  • Experience working in an outsourced environment
  • 5 years Experience working in and designing an enterprise-class Security Operations Centre (SOC)
  • Strong document writing skills
Salary

$120,000 per annum, negotiable based on experience
