About the Role

Flex-N-Gate, a leading manufacturer and supplier of components for the automotive industry, is seeking a skilled Automation Technician to join their team. Key Responsibilities

  • Install, calibrate, maintain, and improve automated industrial machinery to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Support production activities by troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with machinery and equipment.
  • Develop and implement automated processes to improve productivity and quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Plan and execute projects, including cost estimation, project scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Install, diagnose, and repair PLCs, robots, electrical, and mechanical systems.

Requirements

  • University degree or college diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Manufacturing experience with technical knowledge in programming and troubleshooting of equipment.
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage multiple projects.
  • Experience with Allen Bradley Rockwell PLCs, Siemens PLCs, Fanuc Robots, and Nachi Robots is considered an asset.
  • Injection Molding and Automotive Painting experience is also considered an asset.
