Network Automation Administrator

The Network Automation Administrator plays a vital role in the London Drugs IT Team, responsible for the deployment, maintenance, and management of information systems. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing plans for system maintenance and administration.
  • Reviewing materials for user training development.
  • Ensuring system health through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
  • Responding to and troubleshooting issues and problems discovered through monitoring.
  • Supporting client support and first response procedures.
  • Managing incidents, problems, changes, and requests.
  • Providing project work estimates and tracking progress.
  • Participating in projects involving system upgrades and deployments.
  • Delivering projects on time.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or Applied Science (Computing) or an equivalent combination of skills and experience.
  • Understanding of information systems maintenance, deployment, and troubleshooting, including networking, virtualization, firewalls, cloud IaaS, and PaaS.
  • Experience with Cisco, VMware, Palo Alto, and certifications as an asset.
  • Experience with Network Automation deployment and scripting, with Ansible and nautobot being a definite asset.
  • Experience with automated solutions using Python as a definite asset.
  • Experience with ITSM-based ticketing systems and DevOps as an asset.
  • Previous experience in the retail industry as a definite asset.
