Fraser Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wound and Skin Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide expert clinical leadership and education in skin and wound care to staff, clients, and families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical expertise and leadership in evidence-based practice to staff, clients, and families.
- Develop, implement, and revise education programs for staff and clients on skin and wound care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate wound and skin care for clients.
- Provide leadership and consultation to clinical staff and students on wound and skin care.
- Participate in quality improvement and risk management activities for wound and skin care.
- Consult and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and other healthcare professionals/providers on client/family issues.
- Participate in research and special projects in wound and skin care.
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Three years' recent related clinical skin and wound care experience, including one year experience in a leadership/education role in a community health environment.
- Completion of a recognized course in wound ostomy and continence, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
