About the Role

As a Pre-Engagement Lead at Tidal Commerce, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping complex deals that deliver transformative value to our clients. In partnership with Solution Architects, you'll work on pre-sales consulting engagements, helping to define the business and technical requirements that drive success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead client discovery sessions, documenting business and technical requirements.
  • Collaborate with Solution Architects to develop solution messaging and responses to client needs.
  • Assist with managing opportunity pursuits, from discovery to proposal submission, ensuring alignment with Tidal's pre-engagement methodology.
  • Lead key client interactions, managing action items, timelines, and escalations to leadership as needed.
  • Support strategic initiatives around pricing, proposal development, and contract negotiations.
  • Map client business priorities and align these with Tidal's service offerings to provide value-added solutions.
  • Lead and coordinate internal and client-facing meetings, tracking deliverables and milestones for pre-sales opportunities.
  • Assist in presentation preparation, pricing strategy, negotiation tactics, and closing plans.
  • Develop strategic outreach plans for target industries in collaboration with business development teams, engineering, and leadership.
Must-Haves
  • Experience working with large, complex contracts in professional services, or solid delivery experience within the sector.
  • Experience or strong interest in the eCommerce and Digital Transformation sectors, with a solid understanding of industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships and lead senior stakeholder interactions.
  • Foundational knowledge of commercial principles, corporate finance (P&Ls, balance sheets), and pricing mechanisms (T&M, fixed price, outcome-based).
  • Program management experience, with a demonstrated ability to coordinate teams, manage action plans, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Experience in leading RFI/RFP responses and shaping B2B commerce strategies, including collaboration with internal teams on strategic outreach and contract negotiations.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key executives at target accounts, showcasing relevant case studies and prior successes.
